This was supposed to be a simple weekend engine swap on my 1978 Dodge D100 shop truck… but the Lord had other plans for this build.

After five years away from YouTube, this is my return — and of course, the very first thing that happens is the engine swap goes sideways. What started as a quick drop-in has turned into a full teardown, unexpected problems, rust, broken bolts, missing parts, and a whole lot of “well… didn’t plan on that.”

In this video, I walk you through the truck, the story behind it, pulling the old engine, the new engine sitting on the ground, and everything I’ve discovered along the way that’s turning this “weekend job” into a much bigger adventure.
