Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello urged citizens to remain calm and united after overnight U.S. airstrikes hit targets across Venezuela. Calling the attack “criminal and terrorist,” Cabello said the strikes were an assault on the Venezuelan people, national infrastructure, and sovereignty.
Speaking after assessing the damage, Cabello asked the public to trust the country’s political and military leadership, warning against panic and urging citizens not to aid what he described as an invading enemy. He stressed that Venezuela’s people are organized and prepared, and called on the international community to respond to the attacks.

The comments come amid sharply escalating tensions between Washington and Caracas, following U.S. President Donald Trump’s claims of direct military action and dramatic developments surrounding President Nicolas Maduro.
