Edward Michael “Bear” Grylls is a British adventurer, survival expert, and former SAS trooper who became a global icon of courage and resilience. Known for his daring expeditions and record-breaking achievements in some of the world’s most extreme environments, Grylls rose to international fame with his hit television series Man vs. Wild (2006–2011).

Beyond his landmark show, he has hosted several acclaimed survival programs in both the UK and the US, including Running Wild with Bear Grylls and The Island with Bear Grylls, inspiring millions to embrace adventure and the spirit of survival.

In July 2009, Bear Grylls made history as The Scout Association’s youngest-ever Chief Scout of the United Kingdom and Overseas Territories at age 35. Continuing into a second term in 2015, he became the second-longest serving Chief Scout in 2024, following in the footsteps of Robert Baden-Powell.
