In this video, you will see me play Whiskerwood (Exclusive Preview Build). Whiskerwood is a low fantasy Survival City Builder City Builder Colony Sim with some automation mechanics. If Against the Storm and Timberborn had a baby, you get Whiskerwood. In this game, you are like a viceroy tasked to establish a colony of Whiskers (mice) sent by the Claws (cats) to secure resources to send back to the crown. You start the game off by deciding where you want to build your Harbor/Dock and Warehouse. Your crew of Whiskers (mice) must gather resources to pay a debt to the Claws. A tax collector will arrive every few days to collect the debt. Your resources each have a certain value in which you decide what to pay give to the Claws to meet the debt requirement. If you take supplies from the crown, your debt will increase. Failing to make your payments will cause your Trust/Relationship to drop. Refusing to take Supplies offered to you can also impact your relationship with the Claws. You'll need to make some tough choices in which resources to give up to pay your debt while also trying to maintain your Colony's survival. Keeping your Whiskers happy and approval is going to be important in the long game if you want to break free from the Claws. Whiskerwood shares some game mechanics similar to Timberborn, Against the Storm, Anno 1800, Banished, Anno 117, Settlements Rising, Night Is Coming, All Will Fall, Ratopia, The Oceaneers, Sintopia, Fata Deum, Frostpunk, Founder's Fortune, Factorio, and Gord. Whiskerwood is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend adding it to your Wishlist and check out the demo for yourself when it releases on Sept 19th.
