Iran International, one of the few independent news sources reporting on Iranian affairs, is facing a severe cyber assault allegedly orchestrated by the pro-Iranian hacktivist group Handala. This high-stakes breach—dubbed "Operation Handala"—has reportedly compromised nearly every aspect of the news outlet's internal operations.

According to claims by the attackers, they now possess full control over:

📡 Communications and journalist-source channels
📁 Confidential staff records, including financial and employment data
🕵️‍♀️ Personal details of over 71,000 alleged contacts, informants, and foreign liaisons

The hackers announced the breach via Telegram and their dark web blog, accusing Iran International of acting as a "Mossad-backed propaganda arm". They threatened to release sensitive files, including:
