Children’s National Hospital clinical child psychologist Dr. Tiffany Kichline tells 7News that AI friendships are so satisfying that there’s no desire to form real friendships -- creating a cause for concern.

Among parents, it can be hard to tackle the idea of AI companions with children, but there are ways to approach it.

Dr. Kichline said there’s a key question parents can ask: What are you getting from or looking for in AI?
