ILM & Dawah 2000 Ramadan Skidrow Feeding in 2000

Imam Saadiq, founder of ILM Foundation, was asked what was the best way to respond to the backlash Muslims were receiving after 9/11? He responded that we should put our faith into action. That action became “Humanitarian Day”.

Humanitarian Day expanded the scope of I.L.M.'s and Dawah 2000 Ramadan feeding program above. For HDAY we simply added street enclosure permit, heath services, community vendors, more volunteers, and title to represent our collective effort titled the Coalition to Preserve Human Dignity. Nothing like this had ever been coordinated prior.
