27 March 10 Baypark NZ Speedway Super Saloon FINAL and Sprint Cars miss out on their final.
It's the end of 09/10 speedway season for Baypark.
Sprint car final not run due to track prep failure and time delays in race program of at least 30 minutes. No racing to start (as in drop of green flag) at Baypark later than 9.50pm.
Willie Kay brings the sprintcars on to the track and begins to push start them at 9.58pm, then, through the commentators, blames his resource consent for a 10pm curfew.
Easier than a simple, "I'm sorry, I messed up!"

The super saloon racing is fast and furious, on a track more suited to off-roaders.
Contact between 71m Russell Donovan and 33m Paul Carter was the outcome of their awesome display of close competitive racing on the goat track. Carter and Donovan jointly spear tackle the wall in turn 4. The wall and track wins! Donovan heads infield with steam coming out of his ears and Carters helmet flys out the window of his stationary car to bounce on the dirt track.
