Bungie Buffed Gunpowder Gamble with the release of Renegades and it was supposed to deal 2x damage when shot + spread Scorching Munitions, but it had been bugged for a long time and wasn’t working as intended. I’ve been waiting for this fix for ages — and today, Bungie finally delivered.

And oh my goodness… this thing is a MONSTER now.

With Dragon’s Breath and a Spirit of Inmost Light + Spirit of Verity class item, Gunpowder Gamble becomes a room-deleting nuke. It can instantly one-shot an Ultimate Champion at -30 power difficulty & one shot -50 Grandmaster Champions with Grenadier Modifier Active and kills everything in the explosion radius.

Damage Breakdown:

Base Gunpowder Gamble damage
Shooting it (mid-air or on the ground) = 2x damage
Sticking it to a target and then shooting it causes two explosions = 4x damage

200 Grenade stat adds +65% multiplicative damage
Spirit of Verity (x5 stacks) adds another +100% multiplicative damage

Final Result:
13.2x BASE DAMAGE
Yes, that’s more damage than Golden Gun.

This is hands down one of the most fun and most insane Hunter builds I’ve played in endgame content. Absolute chaos. Absolute destruction. Bungie cooked 🔥
