This video is an unreleased ‘podcast’ of sorts that spotlights a soundtrack. Sorry, there is no video, other than a still image, as it was intended as an audio-only podcast.

It was recorded on 1 April 2020, long before it was uploaded here.

Today, we’re changing geography to continental Europe. We’re switching from film to television music. And from drama to documentary. We’re heading deep into the 1970s and to a work that doesn’t fit the traditional score music mould.

We’re going to play snippets from music that accompanies images few of us have seen after they flickered on TV screens over 45 years ago.

But that’s what makes discovering film and television scores exciting, right?!

On our journey, we’re going to get to know a bit more about a pair of scores available from Quartet Records: Zoo Folle and Gli animali… che simpatia.

Giuliano Sorgini wrote these two scores for Italian documentaries made by Riccardo Fellini. They come from 1974 and 1975—peak jazz-funk-soul time.
