Old Saxon Baptismal Vow (Do You Forsake Odin?)

In this video, Dr. Shell discusses the infamous Old Saxon Baptismal Vow, an 8th century document used to forcibly convert the Saxons to Christianity. In this vow, the Saxons must denounce their gods: Odin, Thor and Saxnote. They must then trust in the Holy Trinity: Christ, God, and the Holy Ghost. The true forms of the Old Saxon names of the Saxon gods are also provided.
