Build your handstand | Day 10 | Using an elevation in your handstand practice

Описание к видео Build your handstand | Day 10 | Using an elevation in your handstand practice

Hello everyone,

Today we are going to look at using an elevation in your handstand practice.
The elevation helps you to gradually explore shifting more weight onto your hands as well as mindfully transitioning to lifting the hips up over the shoulders.
Having the hips higher than your shoulders is the defining landmark of an inversion.
That is the moment when we feel scared, we feel a sense of loss of control and orientation because it is so different from how we experience the body 99% of the time.
So here we go, let's start to lift the hips up above the shoulder line, stacking them in one line with the wrists and preparing the handstand position.

If you want to do some of the stretches we do during the day, if you have to sit in a chair or in front of a computer a lot, you might find this office stretching routine useful:    • 5 minute office fitness routine | Fol...

As many people asked, I have added links to Helga (the big plant on the left) and a link to a wavy mirror in the affiliate link down at the bottom. Helga is a ficus lyrata and can become really big. My mum named her Helga.
