DIY How to Make an Envelope Pillow Cover with Pocket + Pillow Insert | Christmas | Bravo Dada

In today’s video I’m going to show you how to sew an envelope pillow cover with pocket. I also show you how to make a pillow insert (form) so you don’t have to buy one. This pillow is perfect for book lovers (reading pillow) and/or to keep your TV remote controls organized, and so on… It makes a great Christmas gift for friends and family.

Important note: I use the metric system and make the exact conversion from cm to inches in the hope of helping. Please adapt these measurements to your ruler.

Fabric measurements for the front of the pillow cover (polycoton fabric):
1 fabric piece: 43cm / 16 59/64” x 43cm | 16 59/64”.

Fabric measurements for the pillow pocket (loneta fabric):
1 fabric piece: 43cm / 16 59/64” x 43cm | 16 59/64”.

Fabric measurements for the pillow back (loneta fabric):
2 fabric pieces: 43cm | 16 59/64” x 29.5cm | 11 39/64”.

Light-weight fusible interfacing measurements (pocket):
1 piece of fusible interfacing: 43cm | 16 59/64” x 21.5cm | 8 15/32”.

Polyester hypoallergenic fiberfill, as needed, for stuffing the pillow insert (form).

Fabric measurements for the medium fabric bow:
1 fabric piece for the bow: 20cm / 7 7/8” x 10cm / 3 15/16”.
1 fabric piece for the center of the bow: 6cm / 2 23/64” x 6cm / 2 23/64”.

Needle size:
90/14.

Seam Allowance:
1.5cm / 19/32”.
