Annual Barbecue Bowl Classic matchup between the crosstown Rivals, the Rockledge High School Raiders and the Cocoa High School Tigers. Rockledge defeated the Cocoa Tigers in a thriller, 20 - 17 Double OT win.

Cocoa:
Defending class 4A State champions, Cocoa High previously had not lost to a team in the county since 2008 and before the game, was on the verge of finishing the regular season undefeated. Cocoa previously had an 11 game win streak over Rockledge in the Annual BBQ bowl classic.

Rockledge:
Rockledge High who has not been to the playoffs since the 2012 1st round lost to Belle Glade Central High, has been in a slump in recent years except this year. Rockledge has clinched class 5A Region 14 District Champions for the first time since 2007, and will be returning to post season play as the #2 seed in the Class 5A FHSAA playoffs. Rockledge ended the 11 game losing streak to the Cocoa Tigers, not only handing a nationally ranked team their first regular season loss, but also their first loss to a team in the county since 2008.
