After the runaway success of Jerry Maguire, Crowe used his experience on the road as inspiration for Almost Famous, his semi-autobiographical love letter to the golden age of American rock music. Using a cast of unknowns, mixed with the experienced reliability of Frances McDormand and Phillp Seymour Hoffman, Crowe takes us on a road trip of a lifetime as he charts William Miller's coming of age journey, played expertly by debutant Patrick Fugit
