How to Embrace Your Fears, Live in the Present and Avoid the Happiness Trap!!!

There are a few questions that often replay in our heads:

1. What is my purpose?

2. If I achieve massive success will I finally become happy?

3. How can I learn to finally face my fears?

While these answers aren’t immediately clear, I think logically, we have a sense of what the truth is.

Today we take a deep dive into these topics and there aren’t many people that I think better understand this than Kyle Cease.

Kyle is a New York Times best-selling author and a widely popular comedian turned transformation coach.

As a comedian, Kyle had two #1 Comedy Central specials and was voted as #1 ranking on Comedy Central’s Stand-up Showdown. After leaving his job as an award-winning comedian, Kyle dedicated his life to helping others and created "Evolving Out Loud", which is a growing community with over 400 thousand members worldwide. Kyle has personally coached over fifteen thousand people and his YouTube videos have been watched over 60 million times.

It was a very thought-provoking conversation where we get into things such as why he decided to leave the entertainment industry after having so much success and the process in doing so. We also discuss the common but not so obvious happiness trap and how to avoid it and be genuinely satisfied.

He shares how to authentically embrace feelings of fear, nervousness, and uncertainty and how to use them to your advantage.

We also chat about staying present and living in the moment while also going after what you want in life and of course we chat about purpose too!

Takeaways:

When you let go of something, your mind can only measure what you will lose. It can't see what you will gain.

The things that we've kept in our lives, were helping us mask something that has been trying to come up and out.

If you talk from memory, everyone goes in their head. If you talk from the heart, everyone listens from their heart.

Soul first, and then find the things and people that align with that. Let the people that don't align with it leave, it's fine.

Going into the past and future is a denial of what you are.

It's such an insult to God, to say it's up to you to find your purpose, you go quickly. It's implying that you're not on purpose, and that the universe didn't know what it was doing when it created you.

“What I believe 2020 and 2021 are really about on a spiritual level, is it's doing everything it can to truly purge the past, from the earth, like it's trying to take your past from you.” - Kyle Cease
