Truth or BS?

If you look around the internet and especially on YouBalls, you'll see a load of people saying that the actual current capacity of most 18650 batteries is utter BS.

I've bought some premium 18650 batteries model number "LG INR 18650 MJ1" from shock, horror eBay here https://goo.gl/rkwiWl and they're rated for 3500 mAh.

What I noticed in other peoples tests is that they stopped discharging them at say 3.2V and were treating them like a Lipo battery.

BUT Li-on batteries can go all the way down to 2.5V, not 3.2V.

I've just checked my chargers and the lowest they will go is 3.0V. So when the tests results come in, keep in the back of your mind the batteries will STILL have a load of charge left in them.

They are all from the same batch:

Battery #A Charging at 0.5A on a dedicated 18650 battery charger
Battery #B 0.5A charge on a imax B6
Battery #C 1.0A charge on a imax B6

The discharge rate I'm going to be using is 1A. This is because the model which I'm going to be putting them in is going to be running at 2A continuously and will be a 4S2P pack, so I wanted a real-life idea on what capacity these 18650 batteries have.

There are no winners or losers in this, you'll all win thin air.
