Child Friendly Spaces

In the aftermath of a crisis, children are often the most vulnerable and are at risk of experiencing severe trauma. That's where Child-Friendly Spaces (CFS) comes in - by providing a safe and stable environment for children to recover and heal.

Caritas India Global Program in Assam has setup Child-Friendly Spaces where children can play, learn, and receive support from trained professionals. These spaces are set up in disaster-affected areas and provide children with a sense of routine and stability that is crucial for their recovery. The importance of CFS cannot be overstated. Not only do they provide children with a safe and secure environment, but they also help parents and caregivers by giving them time and space to focus on rebuilding their lives. CFSare more than just a physical space - they're a lifeline for children in times of crisis. By providing children with a sense of normalcy and routine, they can begin to heal and recover from the trauma they've experienced.
