Daoist Morning Alter Recitation - ENGLISH VERSION / 太上玄門早壇功課經

This project began when I came across the video:

and saw that there were afew people in the comments section that really wanted to know what was being said in this sutra.
I was curious as well, and to my dismay found that there were essentially zero english materials or translations of the Daoist Morning Alter Recitation Exercise anywhere.
Because of this, I took it upon myself to try to the best of my abilities to make an approximate english copy of the text. I am only a beginner student in Chinese, so I had to rely on tested methods of translations by running the script through multiple translation sources (google translate, DeepL) and cross-reference the translations to create an approximate translation. Because the original text being intended to have been spoken as a lyrical hymn, this rendition has no rhyme scheme. In addition, from my observation this text contains a number of references or expressions to alchemical to folkloric concepts that may not have been perfectly replicated through the translation, I have done my best to keep it as close to the original spirit of the text as possible while making it function better with english grammer.

I hope that those who are interested will be able to forgive any indiscretions and accept this labor of passion and faith in the spirit in which it was given.
