Dasavarenya Sri Vijaya Dasaru - Audience Reactions - Bay Area, California, USA

Shri Vyasa Bhajana Mandali, with the blessings of Shri Hari Vayu Guru-s, in collaboration with hari bhaktAs, Dasa Sahitya abhimAni-s, Kannada Bhasha Premi-s and Sanatana Dharmi-s, organized a premier show of the movie “Dasaverenya Shri Vijaya Dasaru” at Cine Lounge Theaters, Fremont, California, USA on 13th and 14th April 2024. The show had dignitaries from Hindu Swayam Sevak Sangh (HSS) and other religious and cultural organizations.

Shri Vijaya Dasaru was a 17th century saint (Haridasa) from the tatvavada (dvaita) philosophical tradition propounded by Shriman Madhwacharya. Shri Vijaya Dasa came in the lineage of Sangeeta Pitamaha Shri Purandara Dasaru. He revived Shri Haridasa tradition in Karnataka and composed 25,000 kRutis comprising of dEvaranAmas, ugAbhOgas, munDiges & SuLadis. His focus was more on the latter and hence populary known as suLAdi-dAsaru. He ordained multiple sadhakas into the haridasa lineage. This movie is the first of a 2-part series covering the biography of his life and unparalleled achievements. The sequel is expected to be releasing soon.
