Brown sugar crusted Banana Bread 🍌🍞

I’ve been waiting a week to make this recipe because there’s nothing like some overly ripe bananas to make the perfect banana bread! Enjoy!

Full ingredient list:

3 very ripe bananas
2 large eggs
1 1/2-2 cup flour
1/4-1/2 cup white sugar
1/4-1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 stick melted butter browned
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4tsp almond extract
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup brown sugar to caramelize on top
For glaze:
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions to brown the butter:
Add the butter to a small sauce pot and cook on medium-low continuously stirring. The butter will begin to crackle and form brown bits on the bottom. scrape the bottom of the pot until the butter has reached a deep brown color and a rich, nutty aroma.

To caramelize the top of the bread loaf:
Sprinkle brown sugar on top of the loaf after it has completed cooking. Place back into the oven and broil until the sugar has lightly caramelized on top of the loaf.

To achieve similar results, place brown sugar on top of loaf prior to baking!
