1. Mooses are the largest species in the deer family, Cervidae. Adult males, called bulls, can stand up to 7 feet tall at the shoulder and weigh as much as 1,500 pounds.

2. Moose are known for their distinctive appearance, characterized by long, drooping noses, a hump on their shoulders, and a dewlap, or "bell," under their throat.

3. Only male moose grow antlers, which start growing in the spring and are shed in the winter. Their antlers can span up to 6 feet and are used for various purposes, including attracting mates and defending territory.
