Brindavana ಬೃಂದಾವನ - as translated to the house of holy plant “Basil”, is a house located in the bustling city of Bengaluru. Rooted in the rich architectural heritage of Udupi, Brindavana is a tribute to the client's upbringing in the traditional home of Udupi. The design seamlessly blends time-honored aesthetics with modern comforts, creating a warm and inviting space.

Its unique terracotta jali protects the balconies on the southern and western ends from the harsh sunlight reducing the heat gain to give a soothing experience and keep the indoors cool.

The spaces in the home are connected across the floors through a central triple-height space that houses the pooja temple and the dining room. Covered in a terracotta sloped room with glass tiles added in patterns bringing a play of light over the Laterite cladded wall. Brindavana is a play of traditional architecture in contemporary living making it one timeless beauty.
