Bogwood Sculptures are one of traditional crafts that represent Sendai, Miyagi. Bogwood Sculptures are made out of a chunk of bogwood, a wood naturally carbonized after millions of years. Mr. Kotake alone still preserves the tradition originated in Edo period.
