Mk1 Mechanics Part 1: Yoyo Concept

In 2018 I started yoyoing again. Later, I learned how to design yoyos. I wrote a lot about my early process back then, in a YoyoExpert Forum thread called "Yoyo CAD & Prototyping Adventures". I find a lot of joy and fulfillment in this hobby, and this series is my way of sharing some of the process with all of you.

In this video I talk about the yoyo design concept and sketch it on paper at 1:1 scale.

I don't actually get into FreeCAD just yet, but it's handy to have an idea what you are going to sketch before you open up the CAD package.
