FINDING ONE OF THE RAREST HUMMINGBIRDS ON EARTH, THE MARVELOUS SPATULETAIL

Northern Peru is one of the most diverse ecosystems on our planet. In February of 2022 we went on a month long journey to the state of Amazonas to find one of the world's rarest and most beautiful hummingbirds; the Marvelous Spatuletail.
Throughout our journey we encountered incredible sights including some of the world's largest waterfalls, rare species of amazing birds like the Andean Cock of the Rock, met many friends, witnessed two males competing, and even experienced a small earthquake following a massive one that caused road damage at the end of November, 2021.
Join us on our journey as we learn more about birding, finding rare birds, photographing wildlife and sharing our experiences learning about the most beautiful places on the globe and how to preserve and sustain them.
