The bottom part of a foundation is called the footing.
Types of Footing:
1. Continuous Wall Footing. Continuous wall footing is one of the most
common types of footings.
2. Isolated Footing. Isolated footing is another common type of footing.
3. Combined Footing.
4. Strip Footing.
5. Strap Footing.

A column or pillar in architecture and structural engineering is a structural element that transmits, through compression, the weight of the structure above to other structural elements below. In other words, a column is a compression member.
Several types of columns used in the structures in building construction, classified as RCC columns, long columns, short columns, timber columns, spiral columns, tied columns, etc.
