Don't be a Hack | How to prune a tree | arborist tips & tricks

A quick primer on making good cuts and deciding which branches to prune. Remember, a proper pruning is highly dependent on the species, and while these tips will generally apply to most trees, be sure to do your research before attempting any major pruning.

Edit: I said “Deciduous” evergreen, but meant “broadleaf” evergreen. “Deciduous” means it loses its leaves annually which these trees Do NOT they are evergreen, meaning they keep the majority of their leaves all year, photosynthesizing all winter. ( although they do tend to shed some leaves in the fall and produce more in the spring)
