The launch of the sixth generation Wagon R with the body code MH35S in 2017 was also welcomed by potential consumers. Suzuki also differentiated products in this generation by selling two versions of the Wagon R, namely the standard type and the Stingray. Both are distinguished through the front fascia and features.

Now the latest Wagon R is back by Suzuki through the Wagon R Smile variant. This car comes with 3 types, namely G as the cheapest type, middle type HYBRID S, and HYBRID X which is the most expensive type.
At the front there are two round lights connected by a grille in the middle. Underneath there are fog lamps as standard. The front design is very unique, making the characteristics of this car when taken on the road.

Continuing to the side, the design shows small MPV figures such as the Daihatsu Tanto and Honda N-Box. This car has a body size (LxWxH) of 3,395mm x 1,475mm x 1,695mm. 45mm taller than the standard Wagon R even though it's the exact same length and width.

One of the excellent features that Suzuki is also proud of is the automatic sliding door. Because according to Suzuki's research on the Japanese market, more than 40% percent of consumers who buy Wagon R want sliding doors.
At the back, it follows the Kei Car in general with minimal accessories and looks plain. Not to forget, there is a choice of dual tone options on the roof that can be selected in black or white.

The overall design of this car is far from its brother Wagon R and Wagon R Stingray which seem sporty. Suzuki took the square shape because it prioritizes functionality over design. Some may like a design like this, but there are also those who don't like it because it doesn't reflect the Wagon R's design.
This area was not one of Suzuki's focuses in the development of the Wagon R Smile. So that it still uses the engine coded R06D 3 cylinder with a power of 48 hp and 60 Nm of torque coupled with the help of an electric motor that produces 2.6 PS and 40 Nm of torque.

More than enough considering its weight is only 920 Kg. Power is then channeled to a typical Kei Car CVT transmission. There are two drive options offered, namely AWD and FWD.
When entering the interior, you will be greeted with an all-white color selection on the dashboard, including the steering wheel and transmission lever. Thanks to the addition of the car's height of 45 mm earlier, Suzuki was able to adjust the seat position of the driver and passenger 70 mm higher than the standard Wagon R. This makes the cabin feel spacious and helps the driver's forward visibility.

In the middle of the dashboard there is a 9-inch headunit with navigation features and a 360 camera. In addition, there are lots of storage compartments for both drinks and goods in this car. Unfortunately, the seat material is still fabric even though it is equipped with a heater.
The safety features themselves are very complete, including the presence of Suzuki's Safety Plus Package which includes adaptive cruise control, head up display and memory navigation with omnidirectional monitor.
