In this talk, I revisit my 2023 Medium article "When and How Will Your Work Be Replaced by AI?" and reflect on the pace of AI advancements since then. Using SEQUOIA Capital’s generative AI landscape research as a reference, I analyze how text, code, images, video, and 3D fields have evolved faster than expected.

Where does that leave us in 2025? Has AI indeed reached “prime time” for these disciplines? Are designers, programmers, and other professionals being replaced, or is something else happening? I discuss the shifting role of expertise, the rise of AI-assisted workflows, and why simply using AI tools doesn’t make one a designer or a writer.

Looking ahead, I explore whether 2030 will be the defining moment for AI’s full integration into creative and technical industries—or if that future is arriving much sooner. More importantly, I emphasize why a human-centered approach to technology remains crucial and how we should position ourselves in this evolving landscape.

We need to rethink our relationship with AI—not through fear but understanding and adaptation.
