Little Wild Horse Canyon is a slot canyon complex in the eastern face of the San Rafael Swell about five miles from Goblin Valley State Park.

Little Wild Horse Canyon is a fairly easy hike, though some parts of the canyon are very narrow and have some boulders underfoot.

The area of Utah where Little Wild Horse Canyon is located has several other remarkable features. The fold in the Earth's crust known as the San Rafael Swell with its towering face, the Henry Mountains to the southeast of the Canyon and the remains of the Crystal Geyser to the East.

The Geyser used to spout 60 feet into the air daily, but environmental activists, I'm told, didn't like that it was putting minerals into the nearby Green River. I was told by a local that the greens poured rocks down he shaft of the Geyser and dynamited it.

As is typical with zealotry, the minerals run into the river even faster and the tourist attraction was destroyed. That's activism...
