ঈদযাত্রায় বড় সুখবর! সৈয়দপুর কারখানায় প্রস্তুত ১১২ রেল কোচ

পবিত্র ঈদুল ফিতর সামনে রেখে ঘরমুখী মানুষের যাতায়াত সহজ করতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছে বাংলাদেশ রেলওয়ে। উত্তরাঞ্চলের ঐতিহাসিক সৈয়দপুর রেলওয়ে কারখানা-তে মেরামত করা হচ্ছে মোট ১১২টি রেল কোচ, যা এবারের ঈদযাত্রায় বিভিন্ন আন্তঃনগর ট্রেনে যুক্ত করা হবে।

কারখানার ২৬টি শপে শ্রমিক ও প্রকৌশলীরা দিন-রাত কাজ করে যাচ্ছেন। ইতোমধ্যে ৭৪টি কোচ প্রস্তুত করে রেলওয়ের কাছে হস্তান্তর করা হয়েছে। বাকি কোচগুলোও নির্ধারিত সময়ের মধ্যে প্রস্তুত করার কাজ চলছে।

১৮৭০ সালে আসাম-বেঙ্গল রেলপথ ঘিরে প্রতিষ্ঠিত এই ঐতিহাসিক কারখানাটি বর্তমানে দেশের অন্যতম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রেল মেরামত কেন্দ্র। এখানেই ব্রডগেজ ও মিটারগেজ যাত্রীবাহী কোচ এবং মালবাহী বগির সংস্কার ও রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ করা হয়।

ঈদযাত্রায় বাড়তি কোচ যুক্ত হলে যাত্রীদের ভোগান্তি কমবে এবং ট্রেন যাত্রা আরও স্বস্তিদায়ক হবে বলে আশা করছে সংশ্লিষ্টরা।
