This is a video of me riding the Bangkok Airport Rail Link from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Phaya Thai in the city centre. The Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is currently served by a single mass transit railway line owned by the State Railway of Thailand (SRT).

I arrived in Bangkok in the early afternoon and decided to take the Airport Rail Link to town. Having entered the Arrival Hall, I made my way to the basement where the rail station is located. I bought a ticket from the machine, went through the ticket gate and took an escalator down to the platform. For your information, it costs ฿45 to ride the entire length of the line as of June 2022.

A train soon arrived at the station and I got on board before it set off again. The Airport Rail Link is mostly elevated with the exception of a short section near the airport. The train travelled through a short tunnel before emerging above ground onto a viaduct. The line soon started running alongside Motorway 7 which connects the Bangkok city centre with the airport and Pattaya, so I had a great view of the motorway from my side of the train.

The Airport Rail Link has 8 stations, most of which are also served by the SRT Eastern Line. After leaving the airport, the train stopped at Lat Prabang, Ban Thap Chang, Hua Mak, Ramkhamhaeng, Makkasan and Ratchaprarop before terminating at Phaya Thai. Makkasan station is also served by the MRT Blue Line at the neighbouring Phetchaburi station while Phaya Thai is also served by the BTS Skytrain Sukhumvit Line.

I got off the train at Phaya Thai and exited the station. A lift was provided for passengers with heavy baggage, so I took it down to a short walkway to the BTS Skytrain station.
