Formerly called the Mazda Atenza, the Mazda6 or Mazda 6 is Mazda's competitor to the ever popular mid-sized sedan segment rivaling the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.

While the old 1st generation Mazda 6 looked a bit bland, and is only slightly better looking than the XV50 Toyota Camry, this 2nd generation GJ body which comes in both sedan and wagon form factors released in 2012 definitely stepped up its game in the styling department. It has numerous bold lines and styling cues reflecting Mazda's new Kodo design language as well as driving dynamics almost up to the level of rear wheel drive premium compact sedans such as the BMW 3 Series.
