The Dalton brothers—Bob, Grat, and Emmett—were former lawmen who knew how posses worked and how to evade capture. Their older brother Frank had been a respected Deputy U.S. Marshal before being killed in the line of duty in 1887. But Bob Dalton wanted more than a deputy's wages. He wanted to outdo his famous cousins, the Younger brothers, and become bigger than Jesse James himself.
