Mesopelagic organisms: These are organisms that live in the middle layer of the water, which is relatively dark but still receives some sunlight. Examples include lanternfish, squid, and some species of shrimp.

Bathypelagic organisms: These are organisms that live in the deep layer of the water, where there is no sunlight and the water pressure is high. Examples include anglerfish, gulper eels, and some species of squid.

Abyssopelagic organisms: These are organisms that live in the abyssal zone, which is the deepest part of the ocean. Examples include giant isopods, deep-sea jellyfish, and some species of sea cucumber.
