A worthy ride! | Mountain biking Oat Hill Mine in Calistoga

Описание к видео A worthy ride! | Mountain biking Oat Hill Mine in Calistoga

Oat Hill Mine is located in Napa County in the beautiful town of Calistoga, Ca. Oat Hill Mine was originally a quicksilver mine back in the heyday of the California Gold Rush. It was part of the Myacamas mining district and was one of the most prominent mercury sites in the Northern California area. Oat Hill Mine is rated as a black diamond, which is a fairly accurate rating in my opinion. It starts out as a relatively calm fire road climb with amazing views but eventually turns into a technical and at times grueling ascent. The downhill is quite the reward, so many different line options to make things a tad easier or much harder! Not a lot of shade on this trail so during the summer this place can be brutal, so make sure to bring lots of water. Cheers 😎🐍
