On November 18, 2020 My son, Meraj Alam announced his candidacy for Bolingbrook Village Trustee with the Bolingbrook Independent voices slate of candidates. I missed my late husband Jawaid Alam tremendously that day. I went to Rotary Park in Bolingbrook there is a tree that was planted in 2008 in memory of my late husband Jawaid Alam. How proud he would have been of Meraj. As a young couple 35 years ago we settled in Bolingbrook and raised our three boys here. We have been long time residents of Bolingbrook. Meraj’s wife and my daughter in law Mahvish Alam was also raised n Bolingbrook.
