The Budgam Assembly seat by-election 2025 has turned into an interesting contest with a total of 17 candidates in the fray. Out of these, 9 are crorepatis, making the wealth factor a major talking point.

The richest candidate is National Conference’s Aga Syed Mahmood, with declared assets worth ₹15.28 crore. Following him is his party colleague Mukhtar Ahmed, with assets totaling around ₹9 crore. On the other hand, PDP candidate Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi has the least wealth, with just ₹2.43 lakh in bank deposits.
