Boeing 377 Stratocruiser was a luxurious long-range airliner developed by Boeing in the late 1940s. Based on Boeing's military B-29 Superfortress bomber and later C-97 Stratofreighter, the Stratocruiser was designed for post-WWII commercial air travel.

1- Design and Structure
**Fuselage**: The Stratocruiser featured a large, double-deck, pressurized fuselage, which was revolutionary for its time.
**Cockpit**: The cockpit was on the upper level, with large windows providing good visibility for pilots.
**Wings**: It had large wings derived from its military predecessor, giving it the lift needed for long-range flights. The design used a low-wing configuration.
**Landing Gear**: A robust retractable tricycle landing gear system supported the airliner, suitable for its heavy weight.

2- Engines and Performance
The Stratocruiser was powered by **four Pratt & Whitney R-4360 Wasp Major radial engines**, each capable of producing about 3,500 horsepower. These were the largest piston engines ever produced in large quantities and contributed to the aircraft's powerful performance.
**Range**: It had an impressive range of about 4,200 miles (6,760 km), which allowed it to serve transatlantic routes.
**Speed**: The cruising speed was approximately 300 mph (480 km/h), making it one of the faster airliners of its era.
**Altitude**: Thanks to its pressurized cabin, it could fly at higher altitudes, typically around 25,000 feet (7,620 meters), providing smoother flights compared to unpressurized aircraft.

3- Passenger Experience
**Capacity**: The Boeing 377 could typically carry between **55 to 100 passengers**, depending on the configuration.
**Cabin Layout**: Passengers enjoyed wide seats and more legroom compared to modern jets. Some versions had sleeping berths or seats that converted into beds.
**Amenities**: The lower deck featured a lounge area, often used as a cocktail bar, adding to the sense of luxury and exclusivity.

4- Operational History
