Two American soldiers are fighting for their lives tonight. Not in some distant combat zone. Not on a foreign battlefield. They were standing guard near the White House in Washington DC when someone walked up and opened fire in broad daylight. Two members of the West Virginia National Guard were shot just blocks from the most protected building on Earth. Federal buildings went into lockdown. The FBI rushed to the scene. And the nation is asking how this happened in the most secure city in America.

This is a segment from the Next News Network show RAW FEED hosted by Gary Franchi. FBI Director Kash Patel arrived on scene and confirmed both soldiers are in critical condition. He announced this will be treated as an assault on federal law enforcement officers and promised the full weight of federal resources will be deployed.

Then came the bombshell. The FBI is investigating this as a potential act of terrorism. The suspect has been identified as an Afghan national from outside the DC area who used a handgun to carry out the attack. The terrorism angle has sent shockwaves through the nation on the eve of Thanksgiving.

President Donald Trump issued a blistering statement calling the shooter an animal who will pay a very steep price. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced Trump has ordered 500 additional National Guard troops to Washington DC. They will never back down. Vice President JD Vance called on Americans to pray these soldiers spend Thanksgiving with their families instead of losing their lives.

Governor Patrick Morrissey of West Virginia initially reported the soldiers had passed away before retracting and saying there are conflicting reports. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem called for prayers. The nation is holding its breath waiting for updates on these brave warriors.

The reaction from the left has been sickening. Andy Ngo reported Antifa and leftists on Blue Sky are celebrating the ambush shooting. Posts said if you enforce fascism you deserve what is coming. Others said no empathy for soldiers occupying their own country.

MSNBC made it worse. Minutes after the shooting Ken Delaneyan suggested there is controversy with people walking around in uniforms. CNN brought on disgraced former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. New Yorker writer Jane Meyer said the guardsmen should never have been deployed. The White House Rapid Response called her a sick disgusting ghoul.

Senator Elise Slotkin warned last Sunday that guardsmen might start shooting civilians. Days later two guardsmen were shot instead. The left spent weeks calling troops Nazis and fascists. CNN compared them to Germany in the 1930s. Now those troops are fighting for their lives in hospitals.

This story proves what we have sensed for years. Violence is not staying overseas. It is here targeting those we send to protect us. Two soldiers put on the uniform and someone tried to kill them. The suspect is in custody. Good. Prison for life. No plea deals. No excuses.
