How to Export Saved Passwords in Google Chrome in CSV File

Описание к видео How to Export Saved Passwords in Google Chrome in CSV File

In this video, I share how to export all the existing passwords stored within the Google Chrome browser to a file that you can keep anywhere on your computer .. Google Chrome users will find that it has a basic password manager with an autofill service associated with your Google account. And sync it i.e. as long as you are logged in with the same Google account, all your passwords are ready for use. Not to mention, the auto-login feature available for both Chrome and Android is very useful and a godsend in a number of ways.
Users who choose to sync passwords may not need to export or backup the saved passwords in the Chrome browser as the saved passwords are stored in the cloud.
However, if the user does not choose to sync Chrome passwords, you may want to export the passwords saved in the Chrome browser so that you can back up your web credentials. For example, you might want to export Chrome passwords to a file before reinstalling the browser or before reinstalling Windows 10. Users who want to transfer passwords from an old computer to a new computer may also want to export passwords to a file.
Chrome allows you to export your saved passwords to a CSV file that you can open with Office Excel or programs that support the CSV file type. The CSV file containing the Chrome passwords can be opened with the built-in Notepad too, but the data is not formatted.
Steps to export passwords from Google Chrome in Windows 10 are easy steps for any user, as follows:
First, open the Chrome browser.
Click on the Menu icon (three vertical dots) on the top-right corner.
Select “Settings” from the list of options.
Click on the “Passwords” option under the “Autofill” section in the Settings page.
Now, click on the “Overflow” icon (three vertical dots) appearing right on top of the passwords list.
Select the “Export Passwords” option.
Click on the “Export Passwords” button on the pop-up screen.
As a security measure, Chrome will ask for authentication. Authenticate yourself with Windows password, pin, fingerprint, or face unlock to continue.
Choose a save location, name the file, and click on the “Save” button.
