Hunting for Wild clay

It took a while to get this video done, so it's out of order but this is the first creek we went to for wild clay. After cleaning it, it has been working out well.

Our process is: adding enough water to the clay to be able to mix it until it's soupy. Then it's pressed through a screen to remove any organic material. We laid out cardboard and covered it with some canvas, (a cotton sheet will do), to spread out the clay and allow it time to dry. We wanted it to be the consistency of cream cheese and that took about a week. We wedged and made measured blocks to put into the plastic storage bags. Now we're experimenting!!
