Garrard DD75 Turntable with Audio-Technica AT-VM95E Cartridge

Описание к видео Garrard DD75 Turntable with Audio-Technica AT-VM95E Cartridge

The Garrard DD75 is a direct drive turntable from 1977. I have refurbished this one and addressed the cue arm issue common to this model (the cue arm mechanism would tend to wear out causing the tone arm to lift randomly). It is now perfectly stable and stays down as it should. I have also rewired the tonearm so that the wires connect directly to the cartridge instead of the "sled" head shell design from the factory. While the fine when it was new, over time the contacts between the sled and the tonearm would get worn and bent and thus wouldn't contact properly. With the tonearm wires connecting directly to the cartridge, that is no longer an issue.
