This is a fully electric conversion. A 2200W BLDC motor meant for rickshaw is used in the project. 20S2P battery made from 40 x 3.2V 25Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate cells is used to power the van. It gives a range of 25 kilometers on a single charge. The happy speed is 40 km/h and the top speed is 50 km/h which is achieved when brakes are not applied for 2-3 minutes. This was an experimental project so care was taken to keep the cost down therefore a low power motor and a small battery is used. Next, we will use a higher power motor and a bigger battery to get a top speed of 70 km/h and a range of 150 km.
