Nothing is better in autumn than putting on a warm sweater ,sitting in an Adirondack chair ,sipping hot cider ,next to a crackling campfire. The cozy season is upon us so it’s time to take to the woods and enjoy those crisp nights outside by the fire. The smell and sounds are hypnotic and you are transformed into a world without worry or cares. The fire takes you back to a time of your ancestors when fire wasn’t a luxury to be enjoyed but a way of life. Everything revolved around the fire. Cooking,keeping warm,conducting ritual, the fire was always burning helping to sustain life. When I sit beside those flickering flames I am immediately transported to those ancient times. This is when I get quiet and let the ancestors speak. Contemplate,rest and listen. Hugs, Debra
