WHO WE ARE: Since our launch in 2005, we have worked with youth across India to understand their hopes, dreams, and desires to create programs that provide access to skilling and up-skilling opportunities that improve individual’s life chances, empower communities, and transform the economy. In this video, you will learn about our innovative approach in providing relevant opportunities to Indian youth.

In this short time, we have opened over 110 vocational training centers that equip young people with skills in automotive, healthcare, beauty, hospitality, construction, and more. Because these skills have opened the doors to industries, previously unavailable to many youth, in course many have developed an entrepreneurial spirit that seeks to disrupt the industry and contribute their own ingenuity to their fields. All they needed was a chance.

Upon completing our programs, we place youth at over 85%, meaning that the hope our programs provide translate into material outcomes. Young people’s success stories inspire Pratham to continue to innovate, improve, and meet youth where they are so that, together, we can create a brighter future for youth, families, communities, and India!
