Getting to Gili Trawangan

Ferry’s run multiple times daily. I book on 12goAsia. A ferry from Bali to Gili cost 215IDR.

When you arrive in Bali, you can either walk, take a horse cart or rent a bike (50IDR per day). Some of the horses are not kept in ideal conditions so I wouldn’t recommend taking one of those.

I’d suggest to book accommodation close to the central strip where you will be arriving. Street can be a bit bumpy so a backpack is ideal however a suitcase is still doable.

I was in a homestay which cost 140IDR per night. Hostels are around the same place and better condition hotels are around 250IDR +.

Things to do
On Gili T you can jump to the different islands for a cost of 80IDR each way.
The beaches are gorgeous and you can spend your day relaxing on loungers sipping a fresh coconut or a cocktail.
If you wish to see an epic sunset, head to sunset beach. On the west of the island.
Snorkel up and down the main beach, seeing turtles, fish, coral and more.
Bike around the island for 50IDR a day.
Dive shark point.
Catch a bite to eat at the night markets.
Get a fantastic massage.

My snorkelling tour cost 135IDR through my hostel, on the street it is usually 170IDR. This includes mask, snorkel and fins. To see the statues, the wreck, turtle point and Gili meno.

Please stop at pasta pojok!!!! If you are missing some pasta, this is the place for you. With homemade pasta being made right in front of you, you can’t go wrong.
