Promoting a Positive Climate and Using Active Supervision

The school board that you serve is mandated to establish a positive school climate for students. As the school bus is part of the school environment, here is the way to achieve it.


Another way of establishing a positive school environment for each individual student is to teach them how to behave properly on the school bus.

It is not realistic to expect the students to behave well without first telling them the expectations while waiting for the school bus, getting on the bus, while the vehicle is in motion and while exiting the bus. We have to teach them the expected behaviors and make sure that they fully understand the rules.
