On The Complete History show this week we are looking at the creation of the Pilotwings franchise starting all the way back on the Super Nintendo with the original release, Pilotwings 64 on the Nintendo 64, and the 3rd and final game (Pilotwings Resort) on the Nintendo 3DS

It's a fun series that's great to chuck on when you want to simply zone out. A flight simulation franchise that is designed to relax the player but at the same time show off what the new systems could do!

You can't look into the history of Nintendo without looking at this franchise. The original game was used as the perfect way to show off mode 7 and was arguably the 1st game ever used to showcase the greatness that was the Super Famicom by the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto himself. And its follow-up was used to understand the inner workings of the N64. You could even argue that it was the perfect way to showcase the Wii (with the Wii Sports stuff) and of course the 3DS too!

On top of this, the franchise has its fair share of canceled installments too. Massive shout out to the awesome Factor 5 who sadly didn't get their stunning looking games released.
